Cisco and Fortinet switches sit at the centre of the LAN. We set VLANs, quality of service and access rules so voice, guests and office traffic do not share one path.

Survey before any drilling
We walk the building before we order kit. Access point counts, cabinet space and cable routes come from that visit, not from a drawing that never matched the ceiling.
Same team after go-live
Fit-out firms disappear once the sockets work. We stay on a monthly retainer and keep the switches, access points and cabinets in the same support queue as the rest of your IT.
AI still needs a LAN
An AI helpdesk and your cloud software both travel on this network. Weak switching or Wi-Fi makes those services stall. We can run this LAN under the same monthly plan as the rest of your IT.
Questions people ask
How much does business network installation cost in the UK?
There is no single price, because cost depends on the building, how many sockets and access points you need, and whether cabling has to be replaced. Wanzo doesn't sell this as a one-off job that ends at handover. Installation sits inside a monthly retainer: AI Starter from £495, AI + Managed IT from £1,250, and AI Transformation from £2,950, which includes connectivity and network management. Do I need new cabling for office Wi-Fi?
Often yes if the current runs can't feed the access points you need, or if cables were added ad hoc during a fit-out. We survey first and tell you whether the existing copper will carry the new wireless, or whether structured cabling has to go in with the access points. Putting new Wi-Fi on tired cabling is how offices end up with a fast wireless standard and a slow desk. We will put the findings in writing before any install starts.
What is included in a business LAN installation?
A business LAN installation covers the wired network inside the building: design, structured cabling, switching, and the links to your internet circuits. Wanzo also installs the business Wi-Fi that sits on that LAN, and we can add colocation for kit that should not live under a desk. After go-live we monitor the switches and access points 24/7, with a four-hour response when something needs a visit. Cisco and Fortinet switching is what we deploy and manage.
How long does office network cabling take?
Duration depends on floor size, access hours, and whether existing cabinets and cable routes can be reused. A survey comes first so you get a programme before anyone drills. Testing and labelling have to finish before we sign the cabling off, which is the part that gets skipped when a fit-out is in a rush. What is colocation for a small office?
Colocation means housing servers or networking equipment in a specialist facility instead of a cupboard in your office. You need it if the kit must stay up when the office loses power, or if you don't want noisy hardware on the floor. Wanzo can place that equipment, keep it on the same monitoring as your LAN, and still run the office Wi-Fi and switching under the monthly retainer. Plenty of firms never need it; a survey will show whether the cabinet in your building is enough.
